It is with great pleasure that we invite you to the promotion and screening of the adapted version of the film Živi i zdravi [Zhivi ee zdravi] “Alive and Well” directed by Ivan Marinović [Ivan Marinovich], which will be held on June 23rd, 2026 at 20 o’clock at Crnogorska kinoteka [Tsernogorska kinoteka] (Montenegrin Cinematheque).
This is the first time that a movie adapted for persons with visual impairments will be shown in a cinema hall in Montenegro through audio-description, thus opening a new chapter in improving the accessibility of film art.
The adaptation of the film was realized within the project “Listen to the picture, feel the story”, which is jointly implemented by the Kulturni centar Homer [Kooltoorni tsentar Homer] (Homer Cultural Centre), The Library of Accessible Formats of Montenegro “Vojislav Minić” [Voyislav Mineech] and Fakultet dramskih umjetnosti [Fakooltet dramskih oomyetnosti] (The Faculty of Dramatic Arts), with the financial support of Filmski centar Crne Gore [Filmski tsentar Tserne Gore] (Film Centre of Montenegro), through a public call for co-financing of complementary activities for the year 2025.
The project gained particular value through the involvement of students from the Faculty of Dramatic Arts, who participated in all stages of the film adaptation process as part of their training and practical work – from creating the audio description, through narration interpretation and recording, to editing and the final production of the adapted version of the film.
This screening represents the result of the joint efforts of students, mentors, and project partners, as well as an important step toward creating a more accessible and inclusive cultural environment for all citizens.
