Nacionalna biblioteka Crne Gore Đurđe Crnojević [Natsionalna beeblyoteka Tserne Gore Dyoordye Tsernoyevich] (National Library of Montenegro “Đurđe Crnojević”) and The Library of Accessible Formats of Montenegro “Vojislav Minić” [Voyislav Mineech] are organizing the promotion of the monograph “The First Library of Accessible Formats in Montenegro 2006-2026”, authored by Aleksandr Ćuković [Alexandahr Chookovich], MA, which will be held on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, starting at 12 o’clock, in the hall of the National Library “Đurđe Crnojević” [Dyoordye Tsernoyevich] in Cetinje.
This is the second promotion of this publication, which provides an overview of the development of the first library of accessible formats in Montenegro, with a special focus on the production and availability of library materials in accessible formats, as well as on the two-decade development of library and information services based on this type of material.
The following will speak at the promotion:
– Dobrila Vlahović [Dobrila Vlahovich], general director of the Directorate for Cultural Heritage in the Ministry of Culture and Media,
– Suzana Marjanović [Soozana Maryanovich], librarian of the National Library of Montenegro “Đurđe Crnojević” [Dyoordye Tsernoyevich],
– Zdravko Vukčević [Zdravko Vookchevich], president of the Council of The Library of Accessible Formats of Montenegro “Vojislav Minić” [Voyislav Mineech],
– Aleksandar Ćuković [Alexandahr Chookovich], MA, author of the monograph,
– Božidar Denda [Bozhidar Dairnda], director of The Library of Accessible Formats of Montenegro “Vojislav Minić” [Voyislav Mineech], on behalf of the publisher.
This event is part of a wider program by which the Ministry of Culture and Media of Montenegro, together with the national cultural institutions, will mark the twentieth anniversary of the restoration of the state independence of Montenegro during May 2026 with a series of various contents.
In addition to the promotion of the monograph, a working meeting of representatives of the two libraries is planned, as well as a tour of the national COBISS centre and several organizational units of the National Library of Montenegro “Đurđe Crnojević” [Dyoordye Tsernoyevich].
