An impressive literary evening by the poet Biljana Đurđević [Billyana Jurjevich] was held on Wednesday, April 23rd, on the occasion of the World Book and Copyright Day. The event was held in the crowded multimedia hall of the Montenegro Library for Persons with Visual Impairments, as an unforgettable gift to lovers of the written word.
It was, in fact, a magnificent promotion of the audio book Treće žensko [Tretchye Zhensko] (the third female), above all, authentic poetry, the author’s second collection, which was recorded in the sound studio of the Library. An entire original, authentic, credible world of childhood, growing up, youth, everything that life in its full strength and beauty gives yet sometimes steals, Biljana Đurđević narrated honestly, vividly and persistently.
This most sincere and hidden speech of the soul of Srna [Sernna] (roe deer) and Vučica [Voochitsa] (she wolf) was brought to life by professor Vesna Vujačić [Vesna Vuyachich] with her striking voice, eliciting thunderous applause from the enthusiastic audience.
A meaningful and very interesting conversation with the poet was masterfully conducted by the therapist Jelica Rondović [Yelitsa Rondovich]. With her comprehensive and carefully designed questions, as well as inspired comments from her soul, she showed how irresistibly and naturally recognizable the author’s poetics is. The expression of this poetry, with its defiance and healing power, simultaneously nourishes, defends and inspires.
According to many attendants, that was an unforgettable evening.
