Our Library’s representative attended the seminar “Artificial Intelligence in Librarianship – Challenge and (or) Opportunities for Developing Innovative Library Services”, held on October 17th, 2025 in the “Radosav Ljumović” [Radosav Lumovich] National Library in Podgorica, organized by the “Radosav Ljumović” National Library and with the support of the Association of Librarians of Montenegro.
During the informative presentation, which was held by Mrs. Beba Stanković [Beba Stankovich], a graduate librarian-advisor from the National Library of Serbia, the participants had the opportunity to learn about the basic terms, history and development of artificial intelligence, as well as examples of good practice, present in libraries around the world, which already apply AI technology in their work.
A special review was made on the possibility of applying artificial intelligence in improving the work of libraries in the digital age, through more efficient organization and processing of materials, support for learning, development of personalized services for users, as well as the role of modern technologies in the development of library services.
