They got the assignment by the government to purchase the properties from the peasants for the passage of pipes for the South Stream. The peasants make their request and Crveni [Tserveni] offers them 10% then the amount they asked for. Peasants accept but Maraš takes the contract and tears it. He decides to make his own deal with the peasants and gives them double than what Crveni offered.
Maraš’s brother Nenad begins to lead the dealing business on his own after which his only worker set him up to the Bulgarians. They kidnap him, more precisely brother Dimitar. When Maraš learns about it, he enters Bulgaria illegally and, running away from the border police, he manages to find out where his brother is. They get help from a Bulgarian who was framed along with Nenad but survived by sheer luck. Together, they attack a village where the criminal group which kidnapped Nenad is placed. Sofija [Sorfia], aware that something dangerous is going on,manages to find Crveni, evading his security, breaks into his apartment with a gun. She tells him to bring her husband back to her, and Crveni replies that he broke some of the game rules and that his role is over. Finally, he agrees to bring Maraš back to her. Maraš, Baća and the Bulgarian manage to kill the entire criminal group, after which they find Nenad out of conscience. Maraš, thinking that Nenad is dead, goes to shoot the key member of the group a few more times but realises that he is still alive, goes to a quest for him and, after he finds him, manages to kill him after an epic fight. The eldest member of the Bulgarian mafiaapproaches, with his gun, to Baća who stayed with Nenad and, in the moment when he was about to kill him, he gets shot in his head by the SWAT teamsent to a rescue mission by Crveni. Maraš goes back to the village and hears the sound of a helicopter. As he is coming closer, he sees that Nenad is alive andruns happily to hug him. Nenad wanted to enter the ambulance car but the nurse tells him there are no more places. Nenad asks Maraš if everything is going to be okay, and he replies with a smile “Everything’s gonna be okay”. Nenad says with a smile “It’s fine, everything’s gonna be okay” and, in the moment when the door to the ambulance is getting closed, Maraš sees a scenewhere Inspector Tankosić [Tunkossich] kills Nenad with a head shotfollowing the order of Crveni. Baća tries to get to Tankosić but the SWAT members do not let him, Maraš is going crazy on the stretcher. In the next scene, Maraš is in the hospital bed hooked to the appliancesand Sofija and Luka are there. At that moment, Crveni enters the room and stays alone with Maraš. Maraš does not want to work with Crveni after what he did to him, and Crveni says he has to because the next in line for shooting are going to be Lazar, Sofija, Lukaand then him. Maraš tells him he made his dealwith the peasants and, if the state wants that South Stream, they will have to ask him nicely because all of that is his now,and Crveni can tell his bosses he did not do the job that was entrusted if he may. In addition to that, Maraš shows him that their conversations are followed by someone else showing that the telephone call was on. Crveni tells him he came to check if he should shoot him and that he has just seen that he does not need him anymore and that he is over with. At that moment, he leaves. Pissed off, Maraš takes off the cables from his body, takes a gun andgoes down the hall after Crveni. People in the hospital hallway look at him sacredly while he points his gun to Crveni, who holds Luka in his handsand Sofija is beside him. The security of Crveni take their guns and tell him not to do that, Sofija also says – “Don’t”. The film ends in that moment with uncertainty.
