The Montenegro State Lending Library forthe Visually Impaired Persons will organize a homage to the writer Ljubica Zeković[LubitsaZekovich] in the premises of that Institution on Tuesday, 21st ofDecember 2021, at 11 h.
The friends and colleagues of Ljubica Zeković will talk about her figure and deed: director of the Montenegro State Lending Library for the Visually Impaired Persons, MA Božidar Denda [BozhidarDairnda], journalist and editor to the magazine“Glas” Miljana Marković [MilyanaMarkovich], poet Savo Blagojević [SarvorBlaggoyevich], librarian Seada Nikočević [SairdahNikkotchevich], while the selected fragmentsfrom the author’s prose works will be read by Vesna Jaćimović [Vesna Yachimovich]. Moderator to the programme will be Aleksandar Ćuković [AleksandahrChukovich].
The homage will be organized in compliance with the applicable epidemiological measures specified by the Montenegro Institute for Public Health.
Ljubica Zeković was born in Poznanovići [Poznanovichy], Tomaševo [Tormahshevor]in 1937, and died in Podgorica [Podgortisa] on 28th April 2021. She was the author of several books of prose and a winner of several prizes and awards, and it is worthwhile to single out the prize“Dušan Kostić” [DushahnKostich]for the novel “Davnimirissjenokosa” [dahvnymirissjenokossa] (long-ago scent of mown hay).
