The book by Emilija Matić [EmmilijaMahtich] – “Suza ima boju” [soozaeemaboyu] (a tear has its colour) – that has recently been pblished by“Čigoja štampa” [chigoya shtampa]from Belgrade, will be presented in the festive hall of the Montenegro Library for Persons with Visual Impairments on Monday, 17th Octoberat 18 h. Alongside the author, people talking about the book will be MA Božidar Denda [BozhidahrDairnda] and MA Aleksandar Ćuković [AleksandahrChukovich].Excerpts from the work will be read by Vesna Jaćimović[Vesna Yachimovich].
Emilija Matić was born in Mojkovac [Mojkovats] on 14th August 1953. After finishing schooling, she was employed in the company “Centrotekstil”, where she worked until her retirement. She writes poetry andprose. She published four collections of poems: “Kuda me vode puti”[kudamairvodairhpoot] (where are the roads taking me) in 2008, “Snaga nežnosti”[snaganairzhnosty] (the strength of tenderness) in 2012, “Priziviodziv”[preeziv e odziv] (appeal and response) in 2016, “U plavom obzorju” [ooplavomobzoryu] (in the blue horizon)in 2020.She has published her poetry in many newspapaers. In 2012, she won the first prize in the literary competition“Jovan Nikolić” [YorvanNikolich]. She works and creates in Belgrade.
