Our Library organised a special program dedicated to Peter II Petrović Njegoš [Petar Droogi Petrovich Neggosh] on the occasion of the 13th November, Njegoš Day, which we celebrate as the day of culture in Montenegro.
The program was hosted by actress Danica Rajković [Danitsa Rykovich], while Njegoš’s [Neggoshes] lines were recited by Iskra Zeković [Iskra Zekovich], a student at the Faculty of Dramatic Arts.
The program was enjoyed not only by users of the Library, but also by many other interested lovers of literature, art and the cultural heritage of Montenegro.
Next, a public class of Njegoš’s poetry Sve su naše glave odabrane [Svessoo nasheh glarvair oddabrarneh] was held, where everyone present had the opportunity to hear excerpts from Njegoš’s works Gorski vijenac [Gorski v-yenats] (The Mountain Wreath) and Luča mikrokosma [Loocha mikkrokozma] (The Ray of the Microcosm) interpreted by actor Jovan Dabović [Yorvan Dahbovich]. These are audio publications that our Library recently prepared for its users.
The program was held in our ceremonial hall “Miličko Miketić” [Milichko Mikketitch], on Tuesday, the 11th November, starting at 11 o’clock.
