The forty sixth issue of the magazine “Tačke kulture” [tatchkeh kooltoureh] (Cultural Points), that our Library issues in braille, has just been released and distributed to the users in country and abroad.

We bring you the word of the editress as well as the overview of this issue’s contents:

A WORD OF THE EDITRESS

Dear readers,

you have before you the new issue of the bimonthly magazine “Tačke kulture” [tatchkeh kooltoureh] (Cultural Points), which proudly presents its 46th issue. The magazine is available in Braille, as well as in PDF format through our online library www.onlinebiblioteka.net. In this way, we continue to build a bridge between tradition and modern technologies, making culture accessible to everyone.

Rich and varied content awaits you in this issue. From the Library, we bring news about interlibrary cooperation and new books in Braille. On the pages dedicated to cultural heritage, we reveal ten Greek myths that are worth remembering, and in the world of art and culture you will enjoy poetry and wise Tibetan proverbs.

For lovers of science and education, we have prepared quotes by Nikola Tesla. In the section “The world around us and us in it”, read an unusual story about repairing teeth with the help of an online tutorial and advice from a neurosurgeon on how to stimulate the brain to work like clockwork.

In “Challenges of the Modern Age” we bring news from the world of technology and gastronomy – from robot-cooks to apps that promise communication without the Internet and servers, and for relaxation – thoughts for every day, jokes, sports topics, recipes and enigmatics.

I am especially glad that this issue is introducing a new section – Aphorisms, because we believe that short and witty thoughts can be a real refreshment and stimulus for thinking.

“Tačke culture” is created with the idea to inform, entertain and inspire you, but also to show how culture can be alive, accessible and without obstacles.

Thank you for reading, following and supporting our magazine – you are the reason that each new issue is born with joy.

Sincerely,

Your editress
