Dear readers,
Literature has always had the power to form reality influencing social norms, moral values and cultural identities. Through stories, poems and plays, authors illuminated human nature, provoked changes and inspired readers to question their positions and actions. Literature is not only a reflection of the world round us, but also a tool that can foster social reforms and personal growth.
However, we live in an era in which text loses, more and more, its primacy over the visual content. Fast pace of the modern living and technological progress changed the way in which we consume information and art. Nevertheless, irrespective of these changes, literature remains key for deep understanding of human nature and the world round us. It is through carefully written words exactly that we can still find space for reflection and critical thinking, which are necessary form making a better future.
May this new, June issue of the Magazine “Glas” be a spur for working on ourselves and the society as a whole.
