The forty first issue of the magazine “Tačke kulture” [tatchkeh kooltoureh] (Cultural Points), that our Library issues in braille, has just been released and distributed to the users in country and abroad.

We bring you the overview of this issue’s contents below:

 

INSTEAD OF THE WORD OF THE EDITRESS

 

It is said that a man was falsely accused and brought before the court for an act he did not commit. In order for the court to release him, someone had to testify that he had not done anything wrong, or that he was innocent.

The unfortunate man went to three of his best friends and asked of them to follow him along to the judge the next day and save him from an unjust conviction. The following day, the first of his friends called him and apologised for not being able to come, the second one walked him to the door of the court room, where he changed his mind and turned back. The third friend, whom he least counted on, entered the court room and testified that the man was not guilty and saved him from the conviction.

The same happens to each of us. The three friends we have in our lives and that could testify about us, about what we really are like are: our possession, our relatives and all of our good deeds we have done in our lives.

When a man dies, all he accomplished and gained in his life, no matter how big it is, stays here on earth and can be of no help. The cousins walk him to his grave but they stay here, in this world. Only his good deeds, that third friend, accompany the man to the other world.

Thus, one man’s worth is measured upon the good deeds he has done in his life.
