The Montenegro Library for Persons with Visual Impairments employed five new employees. Those are persons from the register of the Bureau of Labour who, being persons with disabilities,passed training for three different jobs with in the project that is implemented by the partnership of our Library and NGO “Ekvivalent”, Podgorica with a financial support of the Employment Agency of Montenegro. Fixed-term employment contracts were signed by three sound recorders and editors and one audio book editor and one typhlographer.
That was preceded by a successful ending of the first stage of the project where the total of eight persons passed the training for those jobs, that was jointly organised by the Library and “Ekvivalent”, as project partners.
The project is implemented, beginning of 25th March 2022 in a duration of 12 months, with the aim ofemploying 5 project participants for 9 months each, as well as employment of 2 persons for 9 months eachafter the project closure.
The Employment Agency of Montenegro, as a contractor, finances 48,697.87€ which makes 95.00% of total eligible costs whereas the contribution of the Public Institution of the Montenegro Library for Persons with Visual Impairments and NGO “Ekvivalent”, as project partners, is 2,570.00€, or 5,00%.
