Dear readers,

You have, before you, the January issue of the audio magazine “Glas” (Voice), the first issue in 2026. And while the smell of the holidays still follows us, we open this issue with a special sense of pride and responsibility. The year we have entered is not just another year in a row; it is a jubilee, big and festive for us – it is the year in which the Montenegro Library for the Persons with Visual Impairments celebrates 20 years of existence and more than successful work.
Two decades have passed since the moment the Library laid its foundations, guided by the mission to make the light of knowledge and culture available to everyone. Throughout these years, the Library grew, changed and modernized, but its heart remained the same. One of the brightest jewels in this twenty-year string of achievements is certainly our and your magazine “Glas” (Voice).
“Glas” (Voice) has long since ceased to be just an informative newsletter; it has become a living link, a sound bridge that connects our institution with readers and listeners around the world. It is a witness to its time which, through thousands of recorded minutes, has documented the spirit of an era and become an indispensable part of our users’ everyday lives.
In this jubilee year, we promise you continuity of quality. Our editorial staff will, with equal enthusiasm, continue to introduce you to the most current topics from the world of literature, culture and history. We will follow the rapid steps of science, media and technology, explore the depths of religion and philosophy, and strive to bring the spirit of intellectual curiosity into every home.
Of course, as before, the central place in our announcements during 2026 will be occupied by the library Montenegro Library for the Persons with Visual Impairments itself. On the occasion of the great jubilee, we have prepared a series of rich and varied programs, gatherings, cultural evenings and new publishing ventures with which we will mark two decades of work in a dignified manner. Through “Glas” (Voice), you will be in the first row of all these events, regardless of where you are.
