Our Library, as part of the 20th Jubilee International Book and Education Fair in Podgorica, is organizing the promotion of the monograph “The First Library of Accessible Formats 2006-2026”, authored by Aleksandar Ćuković [Alexandahr Chookovich], MA, which will be held on Friday, May 15th, 2026, in the Chamber Hall of the Music Centre in Podgorica, starting at 13 o’clock.
Tamara Vujović [Tamara Voyovich], Ph.D., Minister of Culture and Media, Jelisaveta Blagojević [Yelisaveta Blagoyevich], Ph.D. from the Historical Institute of Montenegro, Zdravko Vukčević [Zdravko Vookchevich], Ph.D., president of the Library Council, Aleksandar Ćuković [Alexandahr Chookovich], MA, author of the monograph, and Božidar Denda [Bozhidar Dairnda], MA, director of the institution, will speak about the monograph.
The monograph “The First Library of Accessible Formats 2006-2026” systematizes the first two decades of work of The Library of Accessible Formats of Montenegro “Vojislav Minić” [Voyislav Mineech] in a methodologically grounded and documented way, presenting the circumstances in which the institution was created, the way it was founded, as well as the development path that shaped it into a modern library centre for library materials in accessible formats.
Through an overview of key events, projects, publishing and production activities, international cooperation and the development of services for users who are directed to accessible library formats, the monograph provides a comprehensive testimony of an important cultural and social enterprise in Montenegro.
The publisher of the black print monograph is our Library. The editor of the edition is Nikoleta Denda [Nikoleta Dairnda], the reviewers are Radenko Šćekić [Radenko Shchekich], Ph.D., Jelisaveta Blagojević [Yelisaveta Blagoyevich], Ph.D., and Aleksandar Prnjat [Alexandahr Pernyat] Ph.D. while the proofreading is done by Hana Dubak [Hannar Doobak].
