The Montenegro Library for the Persons with Visual Impairments is organizing a literary evening dedicated to Miličko Miketić [Milichko Mikketitch] on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of his birth. Literary evening will be held on Thursday, October 30th, starting at 19 o’clock. As a visually impaired person, Miketić left an indelible mark with his social involvement and a rich prose and poetic oeuvre.
The literary evening will include: literary critic Aleksandar Ćuković [Aleksandar Chukovich], MA; Prof. Olga Vojičić-Komatina, PhD [Olga Voyichich-Komatinar] as well as ethnomusicology MA Nikola Zekić [Nikola Zekich], who will read poems by Miličko Miketić. Our Library’s director, Božidar Denda [Bozhidar Dairnda], MA, will address the guests.
Miličko Miketić was one of the founders of the Berane [Beh-rah-neh] and Andrijevica [An-dri-ye-vi-tsa] Association for the Visually Impaired, and he worked professionally as an educator and administrator in the Centre for the Visually Impaired for Perast [Pehr-ast] and Risan [Riss-ahn], and later within the Association of the Visually Impaired of Montenegro (in Cetinje [Tsetinyeh] and Podgorica [Podgoritsa]).
The literary evening will be held in the assembly hall of the Library, Radosava Burića Street 9.
