The screening of the film”Amanet” [amarnet ] (legacy), by director and screenwriter Mirza Begović [Meerza Begovich], in an adapted version for our users, will be held in the hall of the Montenegro Library for Persons with Visual Impairments on Thursday, May 15th, starting at 19 o’clock.
The live interactive adaptation of the film will be done by our associate Igor Tomić [Igor Tomich].
About the film:
“Amanet” is a comedy about love, friendship and the shackles of customs, but also a drama that causes a roller coaster of emotions, and only a few do not bring tears. According to many viewers, this is “a film with a soul”. Some returned to the cinema twice, and some even three times, wishing that their family and friends could have the same viewing experience.
The film is very attractive to the younger population as well as the older one, because it takes them back to a time when values, that are disappearing in the modern world, were cultivated.
The comedy “Amanet” is the most watched film in Bosnia and Herzegovina in 2022 and one of the most watched Bosnian films in cinemas ever!
Full theatres and the enthusiasm of some of the biggest Balkan names from the film world testify to the popularity of this family comedy.
At the South East European Film Festival (Paris-Berlin-Washington 2023), “Amanet” won as many as 3 awards:
Best Feature Film – Amanet
Best screenplay – Mirza Begović [Meerza Begovich]
Best actress – Iva Filipović [Eva Filipovich]
It was also included in the official selection of the feature film screening program (non-competitive part) at the 9th Balkan Panorama Film Festival in Izmir, as well as in the official selection of BH Film’s programme at the 29th Sarajevo Film Festival.
