On the occasion of observing the State holiday, the Njegoš [Neggosh] Day, the Montenegro Library for Persons with Visual Impairments organised a culture programme dedicated to Petar II Petrović Njegoš [Petahr drooggy Petrovich Neggosh] and his poem “Luča mikrokozma” [loocha miccrocosma] (the microcosm ray). The philosopher PhD Dušan Krcunović [Dooshan Kertsoonovich] from the University of Montenegro talked about that work. The programme was also the opportunity for the Library to present its new audio publication of the poem. With that publication, the Library continues to complete its rich production, as well as to persevere in its project of completing the audio publications of the entire opus by Njegoš. The audience thus had an opportunity to hear the inserts being read live by the actor Jovan Dabović [Yorvan Darbovich].
– That appearance of nausea, the experience of nausea, that Njegoš [Neggosh] pints out to is our cue to shed some light on the natural and scientific context in which the “Luča mikrokozma” is made. The Milton’s “Lost Paradise” also reacts to that Copernican image of the world. In other words, the six-day tradition does not develop upon a blind inertia. It is about the reaction to a cultural context. Therefore, while writing “Luča mikrokozma”, Njegoš has in mind that natural and scientific context that does not give answers to all questions. Philosophers and poets are those who oppose that nausea and anxiety – said, among other things, PhD Dušan Krcunović talking about the poem “Luča mikrokozma”.
The audience was also addressed by the writer and literary critic Perivoje Popović [Perivoyeh Popovich], and the gathering was welcomed by the Library Director MA Božidar Bobo Denda [Bozhidar Borbor Dairnda].
