Screening of the series “Južni vetar” [uzhnyvetar] (the southern wind), directed by Miloš Avramović [MiloshAvramovich], in the adapted version of our users, will be staged in the hall of the Montenegro Library for Persons with Visual Impairments on Friday, 10th March, at 18 h.
Interactive adaptation of the film will be performed live by our associate Igor Tomić [IggorTomeech].

About the series:

“Južni vetar”is the Serbian action-drama television series created by Miloš Avramović for the Public Service RTS 1. The series contains parts of the film of 2018 with the same title and makes a sequel to the film. The premiere of the series was on RTS 1 on 19th January 2020.

The sequels are the series“Južni vetar 2: Ubrzanje” [uzhnyvetar 2:ooberzanye] (the southern wind 2: fast forward) and“Južni vetar: Na granici” [uzhnyvetar: nargranitsi] (the southern wind: on the border).

“Južni vetar”shows the modern Belgrade from a perspective of a certain part of its inhabitants. It is about demimonde, members of so called“underground”who tell, primarily, a realistic story about a series of fails of a “little” man in a harsh surrounding. It is, as they say, an educative story addressed to young people in Serbia, told through intertwined destinies of their peers and all of those who, wishing a better life, made wrong choices.

The fable of the series begins where the film ends, i.e. it follows the life of a young criminal Petar Maraš[PettahrMurrash] behind the bars. After his sentence was suddenly reduced, Petar Maraš gets out of the prison but, instead of re-joining Car [Tzar]and his crew, he initiates his private business ofselling used cars.

Taking this move of Maraš as a whim that will end soon, Car focuses his attention to his deal with Dimitar who, with the support of Stupar[Stooppar], or Crveni [Cervenny], begins with his new business with a Bolivian drug clan whose cocaine will be delivered by plane to Serbia where, according to the established scheme, Car himself should take care of its smooth transport toWestern Europe. The business, that is very risky in itself, becomes even more risky when the Montenegrin clan learns about it. The clan is led by Vajo [Vaio], who was the leading person in cocaine market by then.
