01.09.2018. "Homer's Present to Njegoš" in Cetinje bz the End of September
A programme called “Homer's Present to Njegoš” will be held in in Cetinje [Cetinnyeh] in the course of the last week of September. That is how our Library takes part in this year’s programme of “European Heritage days 2018” with the financial support of the Ministry of Culture.
The programme includes preparation and performance, in the open, of the drama miniature based on the selected texts from the literary works of Petar II Petrović Njegoš [Pehtar II Petrovich Njegosh] and, also, from the epistles of Petar I, St. Petar Cetinjski [Tsetinski] and from Homer’s epics the Iliad and the Odyssey.
There were also planned performances of both professional actors and the amateur ones from the Homer’s Drama Workshop. As an implementing body of the programme, the Library provides the bus transport from Podgorica do Cetinje and back for the interested audience.
The exact time and place of the programme will soon be determined and published.
